Captain Hugh Edwards, D.S.O., R.N. (14 October, 1873 – 5 December, 1916) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the First World War.

Life & Career

Edwards was promoted to Commander on 31 December, 1905.[1]

In 1908, Edwards was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Bronze Medal for saving life from drowning.[2]

Edwards was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1913.

On 1 August 1914, he was appointed in command of the first class protected cruiser Theseus.[3]
