Captain (retired) Hugh Cuthbert Dudley Ryder, ( – 14 January, 1898) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Deprived of eight months' time for misconduct in 1862.

Ryder was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 21 January, 1867.

Court Martial May 1876.

Ryder was specially promoted for services at Alexandria to the rank of Commander on 11 July, 1882.

Ryder was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) in July, 1897.
