Life & Career
Hamlyn was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 12 April, 1910.

Hamlyn was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1925.
Hamlyn was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1933.
