Vice-Admiral Herbert Whitmore Savory, M.V.O., Royal Navy, Retired (15 July, 1857 – 23 February, 1918) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 February, 1882.^[1]

Savory was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1895, at the age of thirty-seven years, eleven months and fifteen days.^[2]

Savory was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1901.^[3]

Savory was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 18 January, 1911, vice Wilkinson.^[4] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, 1903 he was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 1 December, 1911.^[5]

On 12 March, 1915, Savory was officially attached to an Army Headquarter Unit.^[6]
