Admiral of the Fleet SIR Henry John Codrington, K.C.B. (17 August, 1808 – 4 August, 1877) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Codrington was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 12 June, 1829.

Codrington was promoted to the rank of Commander on 20 October, 1831.

Codrington was promoted to the rank of Captain on 20 January, 1836.

Codrington was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 19 March, 1857.

Codrington was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 24 September, 1863.

Codrington was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 18 October, 1867.

Codrington was promoted to the rank of Admiral of the Fleet on 22 January, 1877.
