Admiral Henry Coare Kingsford, Royal Navy, Retired (7 January, 1858, – 1 March, 1941) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Early Life & Career

Kingsford was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 23 June, 1880.[1]

On 1 September, 1884, he was appointed to the Junior Staff of H.M.S. Cambridge, gunnery ship at Devonport.[2]

Kingsford was promoted to the rank of Commander on 1 January, 1894.[3]

Captain

Kingsford was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1899.[4]

Flag Rank

Kingsford was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 5 November, 1908, vice Winsloe.[5]

In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, 1903, Kingsford was placed on the Retired List, at his own request, on 7 March, 1912,[6] and was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 10 February, 1914,[7] and to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 2 July, 1917.[8]
