Vice-Admiral (retired) SIR Henry Clarmont Phillips, C.B., K.B.E. (10 July, 1891 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Walton-on-Thames.
Phillips was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 August, 1911.[1]
Phillips was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 August, 1919.[2]
Phillips was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1925.[3]
Phillips was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1932.[4]
Lent to Royal Australian Navy on 29 April, 1938. He returned to R.N. service on 19 January, 1940 (or 1941).[5]
World War II
Phillips was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 6 February, 1942.[6]
Phillips was placed on the Retired List on 1 January, 1945 and promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral and re-appointed.[7]
