H.M.S. Rosemary was one of thirty-six Arabis Class sweeping sloops completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

She was torpedoed in the North Sea on 4 July 1916 by U 63 with the loss of three lives, and was brought safely into harbour by Cdr. Ronald Clinton Mayne.

On 12 December, 1917, she collided with the destroyer H.M.S. Wolverine, sinking the destroyer with the loss of two lives.

Commissioned at Portsmouth on 18 October 1928 for service with the Fishery Protection Flotilla.[6]

Commissioned in reserve at Portsmouth on 8 November, 1930.[7]
