H.M.S. Delight was one of fourteen "C" and "D" Class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Delight commissioned at Portsmouth on 1 April, 1933 under command of Commander Albert Lawrence Poland for service with the First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[3]

Delight re-commissioned at Devonport on 23 October, 1934 for service with the Eighth Destroyer Flotilla on the China Station.[4]

Delight re-commissioned on 11 December, 1935 for service with the Eighth Destroyer Flotilla on the China Station.[5]
