H.M.S. Clive was a troopship of 3570 tonnes active with the Royal Indian Marine. Oddly, this ship is not mentioned in the suitable section of the Navy Lists I have consulted.
Service
Clive arrived at Malta on 17 May 1884 and was expected to leave for Portsmouth soon thereafter.[3]
On 27 January, 1885, she arrived at Malta from Marseilles.[4]
