Service

In early 1921, she was flagship of the Eighth Light Cruiser Squadron.[2]

Calcutta re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 28 September, 1923.[3]

She re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 11 May, 1926.[4]

Re-commissioned at Chatham on 18 September, 1928.[5] In early 1929, she was flagship on the Africa Station, and of Sixth Cruiser Squadron.[6]

Calcutta re-commissioned at Chatham on 24 April, 1931 with Reserve Complement.[7]

In 1934, her bell was offered for sale to naval officers and others who might be interested, at the price of £5. Interested parties were to write the Director of Stores and were urged to include any special information which might convey the importance they attach to the bell, in light of the Admiralty's understanding that such items carry great sentimental value.[8]

She reduced to Reserve at The Nore at Standard Notice on 3 July, 1935.[9]

Fire Control

Listed in June 1918 as one of eight light cruisers to receive a Mark III* Dreyer Table, presumably in place at time of completion.[10]
