H.M.S. Brazen was one of forty "C" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy — a "30 knotter".

Service

She was commissioned at Sheerness on 1 July, 1905 for service in the Portsmouth Reserve Division.[8]

In early 1908, she was stationed at Portsmouth.[9]

She was one of twenty-seven T.B.Ds. of the Portsmouth Flotilla to participate in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1909.[10]

In mid-1913, she was based in The Nore.[11]
