Service

Boadicea served as flagship of the Third Destroyer Flotilla during the period from 1910-1912 (at least), under the flag of Robert Arbuthnot.

She recommissioned at Chatham on 6 June, 1911. In early 1913, she was flotilla cruiser of Third Destroyer Flotilla, but was to be recommissioned on 5 July to serve with the Second Battle Squadron.[9]

She was one of four scout cruisers attached to the Grand Fleet at the Battle of Jutland, under the command of Captain Woolcombe.[10]

She paid off at Chatham on 18 February, 1920.[11]

Navigational Equipment

The ship was one of seven which tested Willis and Robinson Electric Revolution Telegraphs; all the other ships were much larger than she. Testing was completed in late 1913.[12]
