George Herbert Knowles ( – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Knowles was appointed in command of the destroyer Lydiard on 27 October, 1914.[1]

He was appointed in command of the destroyer leader Grenville on 22 March, 1918.[2]

Knowles was appointed in command of the flotilla leader Douglas on 9 July, 1920.[3]

In May, 1924, Knowles was appointed in command of the light cruiser Capetown.[4]
