Chief Boatswain George Harris, R.N. ( – 2 September, 1923) served in the Royal Navy.

There is another George Harris, a gunner born 9 October, 1872 who was the captain of the ships listed below.

Life & Career of the Bosun

Harris the Bosun was promoted to the rank of Boatswain on 12 May, 1880.

He was pensioned at his own request on 6 February, 1899.

Harris the Bosun was placed on the Retired List with the rank of Chief Boatswain on 27 May, 1916. He died on 2 September, 1923.

Gunner

On 17 January, 1910, the gunner Harris was appointed Gunner in Command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 89.[1] This seems to be the GUNNER named George Harris.

Harris was appointed as Gunner in Command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 80 on 13 June, 1912.[2] This seems to be the GUNNER named George Harris.
