George Francis Hyde

Admiral SIR George Francis Hyde (19 July, 1877 – 28 July, 1937) was an officer in the Royal Navy as well as the Royal Australian Navy.
Life & Career
On 21 December, 1906, Hyde was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 6.[1]
Hyde was transferred to the Royal Australian Navy in 1912 as a commander.
He was appointed in command of the minelayer Adventure on 14 July, 1915.[2]
Postwar
Hyde was appointed in command of the light cruiser Brisbane on 27 August, 1919.[3]
He commanded the Emperor of India and Marlborough, and commanded the Third Battle Squadron.[4]
He took over command of the R.A.N. in 1931, and was promoted to Admiral in 1936.[5]
