Lieutenant Geoffrey Bashford, (10 August, 1881 – 26 April, 1914) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in London, the son of George Frederick Bashford, late of the Scots Greys.[1]

Bashford was thanked for "obtaining particulars of U.S. T.B.Ds. at Malta in 1904.[2]

His wine bill in Æolus was considered "too high" in January, 1911.[3]

Bashford's last naval appointment was to the armoured cruiser Antrim, commencing on 14 January, 1912. Suffering from neurasthenia, he was placed on the Retired List as unfit on 10 October, 1912. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1903.[4]
