Captain Frederick Noel Fargus, R.N., Retired (24 December, 1875 – 14 September, 1955) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Bristol.

Fargus was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 November, 1897.

Fargus was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1910

Fargus was interned in Holland in October 1914 after taking part in the defence of Antwerp. He was permitted a months' leave to England from 2 June to 5 July, 1916 – something I'd never imagined possible for an interned person. Apparently, Fargus spent some of his time in Holland acting as an assistant to the Naval Attaché.

Fargus was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 1 June, 1922.
