Captain (retired) Frederick Edwards, (7 October, 1842 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Edwards was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1862.

Edwards was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 March, 1874.

Edwards commanded the composite screw sloop Mutine on the Pacific Station from 1881 until she received to return to England in April 1885. having been relieved on station by the composite screw sloop Wild Swan. She was paid off and placed out of commission on 23 December, 1885.[1][2]

Edwards was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 14 October, 1889.
