Commander (retired) Frank Ythel Bethell, (29 May, 1902 – ) served in the Royal Navy. His Service Record has his middle name as "Ythell".

As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.

Life & Career

Bethell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 August, 1924.[1]

Bethell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 August, 1932.[2]

Bethell was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 29 May, 1947.[3]
