Captain (retired) Evelyn Leonard Beridge Boothby, D.S.O., (4 May, 1876 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Boothby was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1898.[1]
Boothby was appointed in command of the destroyer Lynx on 9 May, 1906.[2]
Retired Acting Captain Boothby was appointed in command of the second class protected cruiser Hermione on 16 December, 1916.[3]
Boothby was promoted to the rank of Captain on the Retired List on 11 November, 1918 in recognition of his War Services. He reverted to the Retired List upon being superseded in command of Hermione on 1 September, 1919.[4]
