Vice-Admiral Eustace La Trobe Leatham, C.B., Royal Navy (3 August, 1870 – 1 September, 1935) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Early Life & Career

On 28 January, 1892, Leatham was confirmed in the rank of Sub-Lieutenant, dated 14 June, 1890.[1]

Leatham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with seniority of 13 November, 1893.[2]

He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1909.[3]

Great War

He was appointed in command of the armoured cruiser Cochrane on 28 February, 1916, temporarily from 8 February.[4]

On 15 September 1916, he was appointed an Additional Member of the Third Class, or Companion, in the Military Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (C.B.) dated 31 May.[5]

Post-War

Leatham was appointed Captain of the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth on 2 February, 1919. He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 26 March, 1920.[6] He was succeeded at Dartmouth by Captain Francis A. Marten on 2 February, 1921.[7] He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 1 July.[8] He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 24 November, 1925.[9]
