The Dreyer Attack Disc was a Torpedo Control instrument helpful in judging an approach for torpedo attack.[1] It may be the same instrument referred to as a Dreyer Cruiser Attack Disc in materials distributed with Lambert's Attack Director, though that is not certain, as the latter device was particularly suited for calculating an intercept course to disrupt an inbound attack by torpedo boats.
Little is known of the device. Its mention in the Handbook of Torpedo Control, 1916 suggests it was used in action, but Lambert felt comfortable in disparaging its complexity when he was promoting his own device's merits.
