Cresswell John Eyres

Admiral Cresswell John Eyres, D.S.O., O.B.E., Royal Navy, Retired (20 March, 1862 – 12 October, 1949) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Eyres was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1897.[1]

He was appointed in command of the Spartiate on 14 July, 1905.[2]

Great War

Eyres was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 18 December, 1914,[3] and was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 1 September, 1918.[4]
