Lieutenant-Commander Charles Lewis Maitland Makgill Crichton (16 October, 1883 – 7 October, 1921) was an officer in the Royal Navy. His younger brother, James Richard Maitland Makgill Crichton also served, reaching the rank of Lieutenant-Commander.
Life & Career
The son of Andrew Coventry Maitland-Makgill-Crichton, who worked with the Civil Service in London as an exchequer.
Crichton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1906.[1]
Crichton was appointed in command of the destroyer Zephyr on 24 August, 1910.[2]
Crichton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1914.[Inference]
