Admiral Charles Gordon Ramsey, K.C.B., (4 December, 1882 – 1966) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Ramsey was appointed Lieutenant & Commander of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 11 on 28 July, 1908.[1]
Ramsey was appointed in command of the destroyer Manly on 6 November, 1914.[2]
Ramsey commanded the destroyer Acheron at the Battle of Jutland as part of the First Destroyer Flotilla.[3]
On 3 October, 1917, Ramsey was appointed in command of the destroyer Vendetta.[4]
He was appointed in command of the flotilla leader Vampire on 7 July, 1919.[5]
In December, 1931, he was appointed in command of the battleship Royal Oak.[6]
