Vice-Admiral (retired) SIR Bouverie Francis Clark, K.C.B., R.N. (19 March, 1842 – 20 November, 1922) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Clark was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 17 April, 1862.[1]
Clark was promoted to the rank of Commander on 10 December, 1875.[2]
Clark was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1884.[3]
Clark was appointed in command of the second class battleship Anson on 28 May, 1889.[4] He would remain in her command during the Annual Manoeuvres of 1890, during which she was part of Fleet 1, which was playing the role of the Royal Navy fending off attacks on British trade routes.[5]
Clark was placed on the Retired List on account of age on 19 March, 1897 and promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 22 June, 1899.[6]
Clark was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 10 February, 1904.[7]
