Commander Allan John Wavish, (20 July, 1897 – 24 August, 1940) served in the Royal Naval Reserve and the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Wavish, the son of S. G.[?] Wavish transferred into the Royal Navy from the R.N.R..

Wavish was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1919.[1]

Wavish was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1927.[2]

Wavish was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1934.[3]

World War II

He died aboard his last command, the sloop H.M.S. Penzance.
