Vice-Admiral Alfred Francis Blakeney Carpenter, V.C. (17 September, 1881 – 27 December, 1955) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the First World War.

Life & Career

Carpenter commanded the second class protected cruiser Vindictive for the raid on Zeebrugge, and was awarded the Victoria Cross for conspicuous gallantry.[1]

In April 1921, he was appointed in command of the light cruiser Carysfort.[2]

In May 1928, he assumed command of the battleship Marlborough.[3]
