Admiral of the Fleet SIR Alfred Dudley Pickman Rogers Pound, G.C.B., O.M., G.C.V.O., Royal Navy (29 August, 187721 October, 1943) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Early Life & Career

Mrs. Sheila de Molyns, the daughter of Pound's former admiral in Colossus acidly noted of his death: "It probably suited Churchill."[1]

Pound was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 March, 1926.

Pound was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 16 January, 1935, vice Preston.
