H.M. T.B. 6 was one of twelve wooden-hulled second-class torpedo boats of the T.B. 1 class.

Construction

Service

The Times reported that during a trial at Portsmouth of "a new pattern screw" on 5 April, 1883 one or more of T.B. 6's boiler tubes burst under pressure and that steam escaping through the furnace scalded several members of her crew, one "rather seriously".[6] This accident may have happened to a different vessel, since T.B. 6 was still under construction in April 1883.[7]
