Life & Career
Cochrane was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 12 April, 1845.
Cochrane was promoted to the rank of Commander on 12 April, 1851.
Cochrane was promoted to the rank of Captain on 29 August, 1854.
Cochrane was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 April, 1870.
Cochrane was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 12 November, 1876.
Cochrane was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 1 December, 1881.
