Rear-Admiral Edward Bernard Cornish Dicken, O.B.E., D.S.C., R.N. (18 January, 1888 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Dicken was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1909. He became a fluent speaker of French.[1]
Dicken was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 July, 1917.[2]
Dicken was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1922. He served as executive officer in Marlborough from 1925 to 1927.[3]
Dicken was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1929.[4]
World War II
Dicken was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 25 June, 1940 and placed on the Retired List the following day.[5]
