Admiral SIR Frederic William Fisher, K.C.V.O., Royal Navy (5 October, 1851 – 23 December, 1943) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with seniority of 1 February, 1875.<ref>The London Gazette: no. 24176. p. 399. 2 February, 1875.</ref>

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Commander on 21 June, 1887.<ref>The London Gazette: no. 25712. p. 3365. 21 June, 1887.</ref>

He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1893.<ref>The London Gazette: no. 26422. p. 3980. 14 July, 1893.</ref>

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 June, 1905, vice Meggs Davis.<ref>The London Gazette: no. 27804. p. 4188. 13 June, 1905.</ref>

On the occasion of the King's visit to Malta Fisher was appointed a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) on 15 April, 1907.<ref>The London Gazette: no. 28015. p. 2731. 23 April, 1907.</ref>

On the occasion of another visit of the King to Malta Fisher was appointed a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) on 24 April, 1909.<ref>The London Gazette: no. 28246. p. 3277. 30 April, 1909.</ref> He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral dated 26 October.<ref>The London Gazette: no. 28306. p. 8246. 9 November, 1909.</ref>

On 15 May, 1913, he was promoted to the rank of Admiral, vice Adair.<ref>The London Gazette: no. 28719. p. 3514. 16 May, 1913.</ref>

He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 24 October, 1914.<ref>The London Gazette: no. 28969. p. 9131. 10 November, 1914.</ref>
