Admiral Ernest Neville Rolfe, C.B., Royal Navy, Retired (11 August, 1847 – 11 May, 1909) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Early Life & Career

In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 5 February, 1872, Rolfe was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with seniority of 29 December, 1871.[1]

Rolfe was promoted to the rank of Commander from the Victoria and Albert with seniority of 30 August, 1879.[2]

Rolfe was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 13 January, 1899, vice Cardale.[3]

He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 1 October, 1903, vice Drummond.[4] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, he was placed on the Retired List, at his own request, on 8 December.[5]

Rolfe was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 10 October, 1907.[6]
