H.M.S. Venetia was one of twenty-five "V" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1917-18.

Service

Venetia joined the Thirteenth Destroyer Flotilla in January, 1918.[6] As part of this formation, she supported the Grand Fleet through the end of the war. In February, 1919, she moved to join the new-fangled Second Destroyer Flotilla.

She re-commissioned on 25 August, 1920.[7]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 15 September, 1924.[8]

Paid off into Dockyard Control at Devonport on 19 May, 1927.[9]

She was re-commissioned at Devonport on 30 March, 1928.[10]

She again re-commissioned at Devonport on 19 November, 1929.[11]
