Charles Astley Poignand ( – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Poignand was appointed in command of the destroyer Cherwell on 23 January, 1913.[1]
On 1 January, 1914, he was appointed in command of the destroyer Colne.[2]
On 7 April, 1914, he was appointed in command of the destroyer Welland.[3]
Poignand commanded the destroyer Menace as part of the Twelfth Destroyer Flotilla at the Battle of Jutland.[4]
