Commander (retired) William Henry Strickland Ball, (16 July, 1879 – 10 November, 1939) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Bristol, the son of William J. Ball, Esq..[1]
Ball was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1901.[2]
Ball was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1909.[3]
On 1 June 1912, he was admitted to Portland Hospital with a compound fracture to a finger. He was found fit on 17 June.[4]
Ball was granted the rank of Acting Commander on 12 March, 1916.[5]
Ball was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 14 September, 1922.[6]
