Life & Career

Rosenthal was appointed to the Vanguard on 14 February, 1917. He was fortunate to have been lent to the destroyer Partridge before Vanguard blew up just before midnight on 9 July 1917, being then one of approximately twenty-four men who escaped with their lives.[1]

He transferred to the Royal Australian Navy on 26 March, 1918. He may have been appointed to P35 in August, 1918.
