Captain (retired) Herbert Coates Mayo, O.B.E. (15 November, 1881 – 31 December, 1939) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Mayo entered the Navy off the Supplementary List.
Mayo served in the battlecruiser H.M.S. Princess Royal from 25 April, 1913 through 30 August, 1918.
Mayo was placed on the Retired List with the rank of Captain on 15 November, 1931. He died at the end of 1939, having had a colostomy performed on him in April of that year.
