Commander SIR Arthur Trevor Dawson, First Baronet, M.I.C.E., M.I.M.E., R.N., Emergency List (1 May, 1866 – 19 May, 1931) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Dawson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 20 November, 1887.
Dawson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 20 November, 1895.
Dawson resigned his commission on 21 February, 1896 and joined Vickers as ordnance superintendent. He would become a director in 1898, and then a managing director in 1906.
Dawson was knighted by the King on 13 November, 1909, retroactively effective to 9 November.
Dawson was promoted to the rank of temporary Commander on 3 March, 1915 whiel retained on Admiralty service.
Post-War
Dawson was promoted to the rank of Commander on the Emergency List on 11 November, 1918.
Dawson was creatd a Baronet for public service in connection with Home Office, War Office and Admiralty, gazetted 30 December, 1919.
