Frederic Aubrey Whitehead (? – 30 April, 1958) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Whitehead was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1910.
He was appointed in command of the destroyer Grafton on 2 March, 1912.[1]
Whitehead was appointed in command of Duncan on 7 November, 1913.[2] He he was appointed in command of the battleship Magnificent on 1 August, 1914.[3]
He assumed command of the first class protected cruiser Royal Arthur in February 1915.[4]
He was appointed to command the armoured cruiser Roxburgh in December 1915, remaining there until September 1917.[5]
He was appointed Director of Mercantile Movements on 10 September, 1917.[6]
He was appointed command of the battleship Royal Oak on 19 January, 1919.[7]
