Admiral Charles Ludovic Darley Waddilove, Royal Navy (13 May, 1828 – 17 October, 1896) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Waddilove was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 31 December, 1877, vice Hay.[1] On 5 June, 1879, he was appointed Second-in-Command of the Channel Squadron, flying his flag in the Agincourt.[2]
He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 1 April, 1884, vice Hillyar.[3]
Waddilove was appointed Commander-in-Chief at the Nore on 1 July, 1887.[4] He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 1 May, 1888, vice Phipps Hornby.[5] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 22 February, 1870, he was placed on the Retired List on 13 May, 1893.[6]
