Rangefinding Equipment
The class entered service with two 5 metre (16.4 feet) Zeiss rangefinders for gunnery purposes, and one 4.5 foot (1.4 metre) Barr and Stroud rangefinder for navigating purposes.
In 1915-1916 the two 5 metre R.F.s were removed to armoured hoods atop Turrets One and Four. Two Pollen 18 foot (5.5 metres) R.F.s were similarly accommodated in Turrets Two and Three.
