Pendant Number: L.19[1]
Builder: Vickers[2]
Ordered: December, 1916[3]

H.M.S. L 19 was one of 35 submarines of the"L" class.

Service

Commissioned 29 March, 1923.[6] In 1925, she was part of Fourth Submarine Flotilla on the China Station,[7] remaining there until at least early 1929.[8]

By mid-1931, she had been transferred to the Second Submarine Flotilla,[9] where she remained until at least mid-1934.[10] She was reduced to reserve at Portsmouth on 9 November, 1934.[11]

In June of 1933, her bell was one of about 100 surplus bells announced as being for sale at prices ranging from £1 to £10. Preference would be given to those offers from men with a special consideration in the bell in question.[12]
