Captain John Stuart Crawford, D.S.O. (24 March, 1900 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of J. Crawford, M.D.. His first appointment was to H.M.S. Valiant, from January, 1916.

Crawford was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 August, 1920.

Appointed to P31 from 1 November, 1923 and then to Redgauntlet upon her commissioning in early 1925. On 13 August, 1925, he was sent to join H.M.S. Westminster.

Crawford was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 August, 1928.

Crawford was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1934.

Crawford was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1940.

Retired 7 January, 1950.
