Vice-Admiral John George Jones, (9 June, 1844 – 14 May, 1930) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Jones was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 16 June, 1865.

Jones was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1878.

Jones was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1886.

Jones was appointed in command of the Glatton for the Annual Manoeuvres of 1890.

Jones was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 16 January, 1899.

Jones was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on the Retired List on 10 August 190? [date not legible] and then to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 24 February, 1905.
