Lieutenant (retired) Henry Hawkes, R.N. (11 April, 1868 – 16 January, 1946) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Hawkes was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 29 November, 1897.
Hawkes was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 95 on 12 September, 1911.[1]
Hawkes was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 29 November, 1912.
Hawkes was appointed in command of M.L. 190 from 29 January, 1920 to June, 1920 when he was appointed in command of M.L. 344. His command of 344 ended on 26 October, 1920.
Hawkes was appointed in command of M.L. 339 from 7 March, 1922 until 12 August, 1922 when he was placed on the Retired List on account of age with the rank of Lieutenant on 12 August, 1922.
He died of a cerebral thrombosis.
