Lieutenant-Commander Robert George Payze, R.N. (25 September, 1873 – 30 December, 1948) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Payze was granted the rank of Gunner on 16 November, 1901 and confirmed in the rank on 6 April, 1903.

Payze was appointed to the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 95 in August, 1914[1] and appointed in command in April, 1917.

Payze was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 16 November, 1916.

Payze was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 12 August, 1922.

Retired due to age on 25 September 1923.

Payze was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 12 August, 1930.

He died in 1948 after being struck by a motor car.
