Rear-Admiral Arthur Lambert Jackson, R.N. (25 August, 1887 – 4 November, 1956) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Jackson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1909.[1]
Jackson spent the first three months of the war in Sealark. After some time at the Boys Overflow Training Establishment, Portsmouth, he was placed in Endeavour as first officer in May 1915.
Jackson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 March, 1917. He left Endeavour when he was appointed to the Hydrographer Department to support minelaying operations in June 1918.[2]
Jackson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1922.[3]
Jackson was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1930.[4]
Jackson was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 25 June, 1940.[5]
In late 1941, Jackson was suffering great pain from gastritis.
